PokéSnacks are placeable attractors that can bring Pokémon to their location. Pick a flavor for the kinds of Pokémon you hope to see, then place the snack as a block and stay nearby. The area around it matters: the nearby terrain helps determine what can appear. A snack is an encounter tool, not a guarantee of any particular species.

Gold and Ultra PokéSnacks can improve the chance of a shiny encounter from that snack. No particular spawn or shiny is guaranteed; check the in-game item details for current behavior.

To stop an active snack without breaking the block, interact with it while holding a Repel Snack. The snack remains as a decorative block after its spawn activity stops.

:::tip Before placing one Try a flavor that fits your goal, pick suitable terrain, and bring Poké Balls. A Dragon-focused Sour snack still cannot guarantee a particular Dragon Pokémon. :::
