Teams, Pokédex and PC storage

Your active party supports up to six Pokémon. The Pokédex is the central interface for information and team functions, while the PC Box stores Pokémon that do not fit in the party.

Use PC storage to withdraw, deposit, organize and release Pokémon. Before catching, breeding or trading, make sure the destination party or storage area has room.

Owned Pokémon are associated with player and slot data. Avoid repeatedly summoning, returning or trading the same slot while another action is still processing.
