Shinies and Pokémon spawns

The three shiny systems

1. Guaranteed timed shiny attempt

A timed shiny spawn is attempted every 24 real hours of continuous server runtime. It selects a random online player, chooses a naturally spawnable species, searches for safe ground about 28–72 blocks away, forces the shiny variant, and announces the name and coordinates globally. A restart resets this timer because the timer begins from the script’s current runtime tick.

2. PokéSnack shinies

PokéSnacks spawn nine Pokémon, one about every 10–17 seconds after the initial 15–22 second delay. Each spawned Pokémon rolls independently:

Snack tierShiny chance per spawnApproximate multiplier
Normal1 / 4,096Base
Gold1 / 512
Ultra1 / 146About 28×

Ultra Snacks are the best repeatable shiny grind. Because one snack makes nine rolls, place them where their flavor and biome target a useful pool.

3. Shiny Capsule

The Shiny Capsule opens a party selection screen and permanently changes one chosen party member into its shiny variant. Save this for a valuable competitive Pokémon or an extremely hard-to-replace legendary.

Natural Pokémon spawning

Natural spawn rules check dimension, biome tags, surface/underwater conditions, brightness, height, density, delay and weight. A weight is relative competition—not a literal percent. Final evolutions commonly have lower weights than their base stages.

Despawn-safe hunting

  • Stay near the announced coordinates; leaving the loaded area can lose the encounter.
  • Avoid mass entity clearing during rare events.
  • Carry several ball types and weaken the target without knocking it out.
  • Keep PC capacity available before throwing the final ball.
